Final Fantasy VII is considered to be one of the best RPG games on the SNES. The whole game is masterpiece of epic proportions. But an epic game also needs an epic soundtrack, right? Well FFVI certainly does not disappoint when it comes to music!

While FF6 may have loads of memorable tunes, not to mention a whole opera scene, the most kick-ass soundtrack that springs to my mind when I think about this game is the final battle theme “Dancing Mad”. As you fight your way through the three tiers of Kefka’s henchman, you get to listen a chanting melody which sends chills down your spine. When you finally reach Kefka, the whole music changes to an epic final confrontration tune.

Did you know that this is one of the longest Final Battle themes in the whole Final Fantasy series? The whole tune is 17 minutes long! That’s impressive!

The Original

Dancing Mad has been remixed numerous times and even orchestras around the world have performed it in live concerts!
